Climate Change
Many frameworks and standards take a climate-first approach. With world-class expertise in strategy, scenario analysis, governance, and risk management, Satarla is uniquely placed to help clients build an informed approach to addressing the realities and complexities of climate change. We have been working with TCFD since its release in 2017 and lead the drafting of TPT sector reporting guidance for Metals & Mining, and hence are experts with regard to crafting the most effective climate reports and transition plans. Our services extend to cover IFRS S2, CDP, and SBTi goal setting.
People and Double Materiality
While a double materiality approach is not new, it is now a requirement for many with the onset of ESRS and CSRD. Ideally, engagement processes should include a range of methods so everyone feels confident expressing their opinions, and allow contributions from internal and external stakeholders to ensure meaningful outcomes. Satarla has designed and run materiality assessments across a variety of organisations, in line with requirements of evolving frameworks. Following assessment, we help to understand the information collected, use it effectively, and report in line with GRI, CSRD, etc.
Data Driven & Anti-Greenwashing
The world is increasingly aware of “greenwashing” and unsubstantiated “eco-credentials”. Legislation is now putting the burden of labour on those making sustainability-related claims to provide proof. We regularly assist companies in creating data rooms, not only to ensure that they can substantiate claims, but also to track progress against targets, inform decision making, drive future analytics, and feed into scenario analysis. Our methodologies facilitate tangible improvements, and we are passionate about ensuring companies can continue improving long after working with us.

Sustainability Research Centre
We believe in putting our money and effort where our mouths are. We have therefore established a Natural Living Laboratory on land for which we are the formal stewards in Scotland. Here we will not only aim to run this land as a working farm, but also undertake extensive research to understand everything from the soil health, robustness of biodiversity, quality of water, through to social sentiment towards land-use change.
